September 2002 - As part of a larger effort, Ase received funding from the University of Pennsylvania's Diversity Fund Foundation. Summer 2003 & 2005 - Ase Student Coordinators Maya Martin & Tracee Thomas are awarded Rockefeller Brother Fellowships for Aspiring Teachers of Color. January 2008 - Brian Peterson, Executive Director, and Ase are awarded the Dr. Judith Rodin Award for Community Education, as part of Penn's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Involvement Recognition Awards.
